OUR STORY

Family-Owned Business

O'Neill Maple Farm was founded by Tim and Melynda O'Neill.

Melynda took a maple sugaring course while earning her bachelor's degree in Business at Colby-Sawyer College and grew a passion for sugaring.

Tim's great grandfather was a maple producer in the early 1900's at the Taylor Farm in East Andover, NH. A picture of Tim's great great grandfather Arthur Taylor can be seen here carrying maple buckets with a yoke in 1916. Tim was honored to be able to keep the family tradition of sugaring going.

We feel that bringing family together to create our maple syrup is important.

About O'Neill Maple Farm

O'Neill Maple Farm started making Maple Syrup in 2022. In our first year we produced 23 gallons of syrup. In 2022, we had 150 bucket taps. We had a 2' x 4' wood-firing evaporator.

For the 2023 season we are looking to build a new sugarhouse, upgrade our evaporator, and expand our sugarbush by more taps and the use of sap lines.

PURE NEW HAMPSHIRE MAPLE SYRUP

1 Gallon of maple syrup = 40 gallons of maple sap

at 2% sugar content

With the use of a reverse osmosis machine we are able to retract water from the sap, increasing the sugar content to 10% in the concentrate and decreasing our boiling time needed.
